Safety is your responsibility
Hunting and the handling of firearms, archery equipment, treestands, and edged tools are inherently dangerous. By using this site you accept that your safety, and the safety of those around you, is your own responsibility. At a minimum:
- Treat every firearm as if it is loaded, and never point it at anything you are not willing to destroy.
- Be certain of your target and what lies beyond it before you shoot.
- Wear a full-body harness any time your feet leave the ground in a treestand.
- Know and follow hunter-orange, weapon, and zone-of-fire requirements for where you hunt.
- Tell someone where you'll be and when you'll be back, and carry a way to call for help.
- Get proper, hands-on instruction before hunting; complete a certified hunter-education course.
