Privacy
The short version: we don't track you.
Piedmont Hunter is a plain static website. There are no accounts, no contact forms wired to a server, no analytics, and no advertising trackers. We collect nothing about you, because there's nothing here set up to collect it.
What we don't collect
We don't ask you to sign up, we don't run analytics or fingerprinting scripts, and we don't embed third-party ad or social trackers. We have no database of visitors and no way to identify you across pages or visits.
The one thing your browser stores
If you switch the color theme, we save that single preference in your
browser's localStorage under the key ph-theme.
It never leaves your device and is only used to remember dark or light
mode on your next visit. Clearing your browser data removes it.
Server logs
Like nearly every website, whoever hosts this site may keep standard technical request logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and reliability. That's a function of the host, not something Piedmont Hunter sets up, uses for tracking, or has access to for marketing.
Links out
We link to outside sites — SCDNR above all. Once you follow a link elsewhere, that site's own privacy practices apply. If you email us, you're sharing whatever you choose to put in that message, handled like any normal email.
Changes
If the site ever adds something that does collect data, we'll update this page to say so plainly, in language a person can actually read.
